Wedding Placeholders and Thank You Gifts

Everyone loves a pretty place card at a wedding but we’ve got some ideas for something chic and unique that does the job even better! We have selected a few of our favorite handmade bud vases to use instead of the classic place card. Fill them with flowers that reflect your wedding style, tie a name tag around the neck, and voilà… the prettiest place setting you have ever seen! Your guests will be delightfully surprised by something so beautiful waiting to welcome them. The best thing about these placeholders? They can double as wedding favors or gifts for your guests to take home. A wedding celebration they will be reminded of for a long time!

Let’s take a look at some of our bud vases that will be perfect placeholders for your big day.

The Amphor mini carafe is perfect for a relaxed, shabby-chic-style wedding. Once the festivities are over, your guests can bring it home and use it as a vase or add a cork to turn it into a small carafe to use on their table for olive oil or balsamic vinegar.

The Vase Boule can be placed straight on the table for your wedding place setting, but your guests can also suspend it with string through the small handle as it is truly meant to be hung. These are so elegant, we adore them!

If you are looking for a sleek, modern, or minimalist look for your wedding, you will absolutely love the Bagno Triangulaire. Your guests can use this elegant bottle to hold their bath bubbles in.
Pretty romantic, right?

Next, we have the Amour bud vase. Is there a more perfectly named vase to have at a wedding than the Amour?? With delicate lines and a softly curved body, this vase will go perfectly with any wedding style.

The Boule à Facette has a special place in our hearts. It’s a bud vase that Valentina and Sebastien designed and created for their wedding! They used it to hold a single Dahlia on each table. The inspiration for this vase came from the antique beveled glass vases you see at Parisian flea markets. Use it for your wedding to give your table that French je-ne-sais-quoi touch!

Last on our list (but not the least on our e-shop), let us introduce the Bagno 2 Anses that will add a rustic or old-world style to your wedding day. This is a mini version of a typical amphora vase that is sure to win the hearts of your guests.

All these precious pieces are mouth-blown from 100% recycled glass. They will be reused by your guests time and time again and will always be a reminder of your romance. Isn’t it amazing that you can have something at your wedding that will stand the test of time… just like your love!

Candle care

Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to about 1/2-cm in length. This allows the candle to burn more slowly and also avoid unsightly black smoke marks around the edge of the glass.

Every time you burn your La Soufflerie candle, allow it to burn at least until the whole top of the candle is liquid. This will help your candle burn more evenly for each burning session.

After blowing out your candle, re-center and straighten the wick.
When using your candlestick holder, do not let the flame touch the glass. Blow the candle out once it gets close to the candle stick holder. Do not place your candle on a cool surface like marble. If the bottom of the hot candle comes in contact with a cold material, the glass may crack.

Do not burn your candle all the way down. Leave at least 1/2-cm of wax in the container to avoid cracking the bottom.Once you have finished burning your candle, hand wash with warm water and soap until the dried wax melts away. You now have a new La Soufflerie piece to use!

Cleaning care

All plaster and terracotta pieces are not suitable for use with water. You can dust each piece with a dry cloth.

General information

These are entirely made by hand and each creation is unique. Therefore, there may be a slight variation in color, texture, and size between each piece (approximately 1cm-2cm from piece to piece). On the base of each item, you can feel the pontil mark left by the glassblower’s cane. The presence of this mark indicates that the glass was blown freehand. This is the beauty of handmade.

Cleaning care

We do recommend handwashing as much as possible to avoid scratches from the dishwasher and to keep the glass sparkling. But, know that our glassware is dishwasher resistant and can be cleaned in the dishwasher

Colored glass

Pigmented glass is mixed into the furnace during the glassblowing. This means that the glass itself is colored instead of painted. Our glass is durable and no changes or fading occur with continued use over time.
