Exchanges cannot be made online: return the piece and place a new order.
Every piece is mouth-blown, so no two are alike: sizes vary by about 1 to 2 cm, and shape, shade and colour vary too. Small air bubbles, black specks, tooling marks and the pontil mark under the base — left by the glassblower's cane — are the signature of free-blown glass, not defects. Photographs are not contractual. See Terms, Article 2.
Our glassware is not microwave safe. It is dishwasher resistant, but we recommend hand washing to avoid scratches and keep it sparkling. Our coloured glass is tinted in the mass, in the furnace: the colour will not fade with use.
Plaster is not suitable for use with water: dust it with a soft, dry cloth. For terracotta, check the product page to see whether the piece can hold water.
Trim the wick to about ½ cm before lighting, and let the whole surface melt each time so the candle burns evenly. After blowing it out, re-centre and straighten the wick. Never let the flame touch the glass — with a candlestick holder, blow the candle out before it gets close. Do not place a lit or hot candle on a cold surface such as marble: the glass may crack. Leave at least ½ cm of wax at the bottom. Once finished, hand wash the vessel with warm soapy water — it becomes a new La Soufflerie piece.

1.1These terms apply to all orders placed on lasoufflerie.com (the “Website”) by private customers (“you”). Professional orders are governed by our Wholesale Terms & Conditions.
1.2The Website is operated by S&V NOBILE, trading as La Soufflerie, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with a share capital of €1,000, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 899 038 673, whose registered office is at 26 rue Lecourbe, 75015 Paris (the “Seller”, “we”, “us”). VAT number: FR88 899 038 673.

1.4By placing an order, you accept these terms in the version published on the date of your order. Any conflicting conditions do not apply unless we have expressly accepted them in writing.
2.1Each product page describes the essential characteristics of the piece — dimensions, materials, colours and care — in accordance with Article L.111-1 of the French Consumer Code.
2.2Our pieces are mouth-blown and finished by hand. Variations in size (approximately 1 to 2 cm), shape, colour and texture, small air bubbles, black specks, pontil and tooling marks are inherent to the technique and are not defects. Photographs are for illustration only: each piece is unique and may differ slightly from the one pictured.
2.3Products are offered while stock lasts. Made-to-order items are indicated on the product page.
2.4La Soufflerie’s liability cannot be invoked in the event of an error in a text description. Photographs are not contractual.
3.1Add products to your basket, enter your details, choose delivery and payment, then review your order summary. You can correct any error before confirming. Please check your delivery address carefully: your order is shipped to the address you enter. You are bound by the information you provide when placing your order.
3.2Your order is placed when you click “Order and pay” and your payment is accepted. The contract is concluded in English or French, as you choose.
3.3We confirm your order by email, with these terms and the model withdrawal form.
3.4We may refuse or cancel an order in the event of an unresolved payment dispute or an obvious pricing error.
3.5Our automated order records serve as proof of the nature, content and date of your order. Orders of €120 or more are archived for 10 years; you can ask us for a copy at any time.
3.6La Soufflerie is a registered trademark. Our pieces may only be sold under our brand name: no one other than La Soufflerie may modify our products or produce candles in our glass pieces. Any such modification, or the sale of products so modified, constitutes a misrepresentation of our brand.
4.1Prices are shown in euros or US dollars, depending on the currency you select, including VAT for deliveries within the EU. Delivery costs are shown before you confirm.
4.2United States: duties and tariffs are included in our prices. Other countries outside the EU: import duties and local taxes may be charged on arrival and are payable by the recipient.
4.3Free shipping may be offered above a certain basket amount. The threshold varies according to the basket and the shipping zone, and the applicable conditions are shown in your basket and at checkout when you choose your shipping method.
4.4We may change our prices at any time; the applicable price is the one displayed when you confirm your order. Your invoice is available in your customer account, and a paper copy can be sent on request.
5.1We accept PayPal, Apple Pay and bank cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, UnionPay). Payment is made in euros (€) or US dollars ($), depending on the currency selected. Payments are processed by Stripe, PayPal and Square; your payment data is encrypted (SSL) and never stored by us. If you choose PayPal, you are redirected to PayPal to complete your payment.
5.2Your bank may require 3D Secure authentication, the standard used by banks since 2009 to confirm that the card is used by its rightful holder; if it fails or is refused, the transaction is cancelled. Your account is debited when your order is confirmed. If payment is refused, the order is cancelled and you are informed by email.
6.1We ship worldwide. Methods and costs depend on the destination and are shown at checkout. Large or heavy items may incur additional costs, also shown at checkout; for very large orders, we contact you by email with the shipping costs.
6.2Orders are prepared within 7 to 10 business days; made-to-order items (plaster, wood, lamps, candles) need 2 to 3 additional weeks. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed the next business day. The estimated delivery date is shown before you confirm. Once your order ships, you receive an email with its tracking details.
6.3Estimated shipping times are not guaranteed unless indicated as such on the Website, and may vary according to destination. La Soufflerie is not responsible for late delivery, nor for any change or error in shipping time or product availability.
6.4However, if your order has not been delivered 30 days after the indicated delivery date, for any reason other than force majeure, you may cancel the sale and obtain a full refund, excluding any other compensation or damages. You may also ask us to deliver within a reasonable additional period; failing that, you may cancel and be refunded in full within 14 days.
6.5Products travel at our risk until you take possession of them.
6.6You can change the delivery address before shipment; additional costs may apply.
7.1You have 14 days from receipt of your order to withdraw, without giving any reason.
7.2To withdraw, email us at info@lasoufflerie.com, stating your decision clearly, or send us the model form below. We acknowledge receipt by email. Please inform us by email before sending any parcel: La Soufflerie may refuse a parcel it has not been informed of in advance.
7.3Send the items back within 14 days of notifying us, in their original condition and packaging, with all accessories, instructions and paperwork, to La Soufflerie, 5 rue Romain Rolland, 94250 Gentilly, France. Return shipping costs, and any customs fees or duties on returns, are at your expense.
7.4We refund the items and the initial standard delivery costs within 14 days of your withdrawal, to your original payment method (bank card, PayPal…), possibly deferred until we receive the items or proof of shipment. You receive a confirmation email once the refund is made.
7.5Exchanges cannot be made online: return the item and place a new order.
7.6You can cancel an order free of charge until it is dispatched.
8.1All products are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) for two years from delivery, and by the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code).
8.2If a piece arrives broken or damaged, contact us with your order number and a photo: we will replace it or, if not possible, refund it, at no cost to you.
8.3The paid invoice must be presented in order to benefit from these guarantees.
9.1La Soufflerie is not responsible for cancelled or incorrect orders due to force majeure or external causes.
9.2Our products comply with current French legislation. La Soufflerie cannot be held responsible for non-compliance with local legislation in the case of delivery outside France; please check that the product may be imported and used in your country.
9.3The buyer is solely responsible for the choice and purchase of any product. La Soufflerie is not responsible if a purchased product cannot be used for any reason, without prejudice to Articles 7 and 8.
9.4La Soufflerie cannot be held responsible for: the malfunction of the Website or of applications used on or obtained from it; the loss of data or services resulting in a delay, a total or partial failure or a disruption of service, or any inaccuracy in the information obtained; any damage resulting from a virus transmitted by a server; any fees, loss of profit or indirect loss arising from the use of the Website or from the inability to access it.

The present general terms dictate the methods and conditions of online and offline sales by La Soufflerie of the items listed on the La Soufflerie website and its wholesale order form excel sheet.
All orders made by a CLIENT via the La Soufflerie website or wholesale order form excel sheet imply that the general terms of sale herewith have been completely and totally agreed upon, with the exception of any other documents produced by La Soufflerie.
The CLIENT consequently recognizes that any conditions contrary to the agreement, unless expressly accepted by La Soufflerie, regardless of when they were brought to the latter’s attention, do not apply.
The La Soufflerie website and online product catalogue provides a description of the products for sale, allowing the potential buyer to understand the main characteristics of any given product before making a final sale, in accordance with Article L.111-1 of the French Consumer Code.
The La Soufflerie liability will not be invoked in the event of error in the text description. It should also be noted the photographs are not of a contractual nature.
3.1Before placing an order, it is the responsibility of the CLIENT to review the general terms of sale, as presented on the La Soufflerie website and separate documents provided by La Soufflerie to the CLIENT.
3.2After putting the desired objects in his/her shopping basket, the CLIENT will be directed to an on-line or off-line order form, including a request for necessary contact information, namely: first and last name, mailing address, delivery address, e-mail address, etc.
3.3The CLIENT order will be processed only after the CLIENT has confirmed and paid a deposit of 50% for the order and sent La Soufflerie proof of payment.
3.4The sale will be considered final only after the CLIENT has confirmed and paid the remaining balance including shipping fees.
3.5A CLIENT order will be shipped only after the remaining balance has been received by La Soufflerie.
3.6An order which has not been confirmed and paid within 10 days will be cancelled and a 15% cancellation fee will be applied.
3.7La Soufflerie products are to be sold in the CLIENT’s brick and mortar shop and may also be offered on the CLIENT’s own online shop. Suggested retail prices are indicated in the wholesale order form excel sheet; the CLIENT remains free to set its own resale prices. La Soufflerie products cannot under any circumstance be sold on third-party websites or marketplaces.
La Soufflerie reserves the right to cancel any order made by a CLIENT with whom there is a payment dispute from a previous order or if the above conditions stated in article 3.7 are not respected.
The buyer is bound by the data provided when the order was placed.
4.1The selling price of the articles chosen by the CLIENT is listed on the La Soufflerie website and the wholesale order form excel sheet provided by La Soufflerie.
Duties and tariffs are included in the price for retail orders shipped to the US only. This does not apply to wholesale orders, for which duties and tariffs remain the responsibility of the buyer.
Prices are in Euros. They do not include shipping charges.
The price indicated at the time of the confirmed order is the final price.
The selling price of the articles on the La Soufflerie website and the wholesale order form excel sheet is subject to change at any time, for any reason.
4.2Shipping charges are calculated once an order is ready based on its volume and weight.
4.3The corresponding invoice is available online, on the Customer page of the website. It is also sent by email to the CLIENT once the order is ready to leave the La Soufflerie studio.
5.1Payment transactions are carried out via bank wire, Stripe, Square, or PayPal upon special requests, AND ARE SUBJECT TO SERVICE CHARGES.
5.2The CLIENT’s confirmed order will be considered valid only after the bank payment center has issued its approval. In the case of a bank’s refusal, the order will be automatically put on hold, and the CLIENT will be informed by e-mail.
6.1Products advertised on the La Soufflerie website and the wholesale order form excel sheet are available while stock lasts. No back orders will be accepted.
6.2All orders are systematically confirmed by e-mail, and shipping details provided.
Estimated shipping times are not guaranteed and can vary according to destination. La Soufflerie is not responsible in case of late delivery.
However, if 30 days after the delivery time indicated the product has not been delivered, for any reason other than force majeure, the sale may be cancelled, and the Buyer may obtain full refund, excluding all other indemnities or damages.
7.1The CLIENT has a retraction period of 14 working days upon reception of his/her order.
7.2The product/s must be returned in perfect condition, with all original packaging, accessories, instructions and paperwork to:

7.3La Soufflerie will reimburse the CLIENT. However, the return-shipping fee is at the CLIENT’s charge.
7.4If the delivered article is defective, La Soufflerie will issue the CLIENT with a credit note valid for 6 months.
8.1The CLIENT’s personal information will remain confidential, and only be used within the framework of the order and subsequent follow-up.
8.2How La Soufflerie processes personal data, the CLIENT’s rights and the use of cookies are set out in our Privacy & Cookies policy (lasoufflerie.com/privacy-policy/).
All the designs and products presented on the La Soufflerie website, as well as any text, comments, works, illustrations and images featured on it, are protected by intellectual property and copyright laws. The applicable terms are set out in our Legal Notice (lasoufflerie.com/legal-notice/).
10.1La Soufflerie is not responsible for cancelled or incorrect orders due to force majeure or external causes.
10.2The designs and products available on the website La Soufflerie and the wholesale order form excel sheet are in compliance with current French legislation.
La Soufflerie cannot be held responsible for the non-respect of legislation in the case of a delivery outside France.
10.3The buyer is solely responsible for the choice and purchase of any given product.
La Soufflerie is not responsible for the impossibility to use the purchased product for whatever reason and is without prejudice to Articles 7 and 10.5 herewith.
10.4La Soufflerie cannot be held responsible for: the malfunction of the La Soufflerie website and/or the applications used on or obtained from the La Soufflerie website; the loss of data or services resulting in a delay, failure to provide totally or partially, disruptions in service and any imprecision, quality or nature of information obtained by its services, consequences arising from that, or any damage resulting from a virus transmitted by a server; fees, loss of profit, or indirect loss brought on the use of the La Soufflerie website by a CLIENT, or the impossibility for a CLIENT to access the website.
10.5The CLIENT may benefit from the legal warranty of conformity and the warranty for hidden faults for products L211-1 to L211-12 of the French Consumer Code and 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code.
10.6The paid invoice must be presented in order to take advantage of either of these guarantees.
The La Soufflerie website may be linked to or from other websites managed by third-party partners, within the framework of affiliate programs. Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to about 1/2-cm in length. This allows the candle to burn more slowly and also avoid unsightly black smoke marks around the edge of the glass.
Every time you burn your La Soufflerie candle, allow it to burn at least until the whole top of the candle is liquid. This will help your candle burn more evenly for each burning session.
After blowing out your candle, re-center and straighten the wick.
When using your candlestick holder, do not let the flame touch the glass. Blow the candle out once it gets close to the candle stick holder. Do not place your candle on a cool surface like marble. If the bottom of the hot candle comes in contact with a cold material, the glass may crack.
Do not burn your candle all the way down. Leave at least 1/2-cm of wax in the container to avoid cracking the bottom.Once you have finished burning your candle, hand wash with warm water and soap until the dried wax melts away. You now have a new La Soufflerie piece to use!
NOT MICROWAVE SAFE
Most of our terracotta are water-resistant. Check the product sheet to confirm if this specific item is suitable for use with water.
All plaster and terracotta pieces are not suitable for use with water. You can dust each piece with a dry cloth.
Due to the handmade nature of this item, there will be variations in design and size, as well as slight imperfections, possibly in the form of air bubbles, black specks, pontil and or hand tooling marks, glass or color pattern irregularities; these imperfections are an attribute of handmade craftsmanship and one of the many reasons we love it.
These are entirely made by hand and each creation is unique. Therefore, there may be a slight variation in color, texture, and size between each piece (approximately 1cm-2cm from piece to piece). On the base of each item, you can feel the pontil mark left by the glassblower’s cane. The presence of this mark indicates that the glass was blown freehand. This is the beauty of handmade.
We do recommend handwashing as much as possible to avoid scratches from the dishwasher and to keep the glass sparkling. But, know that our glassware is dishwasher resistant and can be cleaned in the dishwasher
Pigmented glass is mixed into the furnace during the glassblowing. This means that the glass itself is colored instead of painted. Our glass is durable and no changes or fading occur with continued use over time.
Your order will be processed between 7 and 10 business days.
For all orders outside of the United States, custom duties are to be paid by the receiver.
Each piece is hand washed and individually, wrapped and packed with recycled materials by our team.

Certain items may take longer to be delivered. Please allow 2 to 3 extra weeks for delivery for Plaster products, Lamps, Candles, and Wood, these products are made to order.
