Le Dernier Verre

The music softens, the lights grow dim. Glasses clink one final time, holding the echo of conversations that should have ended hours ago. The last drink is never just about the drink. It’s about the pause before goodbye, the courage in a final toast, the fleeting moment when strangers become friends and friends become confidants. Tomorrow, the glasses will be empty—but tonight, the last one still lingers and it always too early to let it go.

It is the ritual of endings—the last drink shared before the night dissolves into memory. Some raise their glass with laughter, stretching the evening as far as it will go; others sip in silence, savouring the weight of what remains unsaid.

Candle care

Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to about 1/2-cm in length. This allows the candle to burn more slowly and also avoid unsightly black smoke marks around the edge of the glass.

Every time you burn your La Soufflerie candle, allow it to burn at least until the whole top of the candle is liquid. This will help your candle burn more evenly for each burning session.

After blowing out your candle, re-center and straighten the wick.
When using your candlestick holder, do not let the flame touch the glass. Blow the candle out once it gets close to the candle stick holder. Do not place your candle on a cool surface like marble. If the bottom of the hot candle comes in contact with a cold material, the glass may crack.

Do not burn your candle all the way down. Leave at least 1/2-cm of wax in the container to avoid cracking the bottom.Once you have finished burning your candle, hand wash with warm water and soap until the dried wax melts away. You now have a new La Soufflerie piece to use!

General information

Due to the handmade nature of this item, there will be variations in design and size, as well as slight imperfections, possibly in the form of air bubbles, black specks, pontil and or hand tooling marks, glass or color pattern irregularities; these imperfections are an attribute of handmade craftsmanship and one of the many reasons we love it.

These are entirely made by hand and each creation is unique. Therefore, there may be a slight variation in color, texture, and size between each piece (approximately 1cm-2cm from piece to piece). On the base of each item, you can feel the pontil mark left by the glassblower’s cane. The presence of this mark indicates that the glass was blown freehand. This is the beauty of handmade.

Cleaning care

We do recommend handwashing as much as possible to avoid scratches from the dishwasher and to keep the glass sparkling. But, know that our glassware is dishwasher resistant and can be cleaned in the dishwasher

Colored glass

Pigmented glass is mixed into the furnace during the glassblowing. This means that the glass itself is colored instead of painted. Our glass is durable and no changes or fading occur with continued use over time.
