The Quest for The Perfect Vase
Ever since the beginning of La Soufflerie, Sebastien and I (Valentina) have been searching to create the perfect vase

What is the perfect vase?
The perfect vase really depends on what you consider to be the perfect bouquet of flowers?
We started off our search 15 years ago with the Vase Droit a 14 cm wide by 20 cm high hand blown vase to accommodate the perfect standard bouquet.
However, we then realized each bouquet has a lifespan. Often one flower will dwindle before the others. And your bouquet changes as days go on little by little.
Obviously you don’t throw out the whole bouquet just because one flower is not looking good.
That is when you start rearranging your bouquet and your bouquet gets a little smaller and shorter… so you need a little smaller vase.

That’s when we went back to the drawing board and created the next perfect vase for you that we hand blowed a little shorter and a little smaller like the Pot à Cornichon or the Vase Boudin Bas for your “new” bouquet

Continuing the journey with your bouquet, if you’re lucky a couple weeks go by or a couple days and your bouquet changes again. Some more the stems need to be trimmed, some more flowers or foliage have been thrown away and you were left with a trio of flowers that still remind you of that beautiful bouquet you first had.

I realize writing this text, that Sebastien and I are no longer searching for the perfect vase. We are searching for the perfect family of vases that can accompany your beautiful bouquet all throughout its lifespan giving it a new life and a new identity each time it changes…
