ARTICLE 1 – General Information

The company La Soufflerie SAS, 7 rue de l’Eglise, 75015 Paris (French Siren No. 531798627) and represented by manager Mr. Sébastien Nobile, sells La Soufflerie designed and produced items via its website: ” https://lasoufflerie.com “ (hereafter called “La Soufflerie web site”).

The present general terms dictate the methods and conditions of online sales by La Soufflerie of the items listed on the La Soufflerie website.

All orders made by a CLIENT via the La Soufflerie website imply that the general terms of sale herewith have been completely and totally agreed upon, with the exception of any other documents produced by La Soufflerie.

The CLIENT (hereafter called “CLIENT”, “YOU” or “YOUR”) consequently recognizes that any conditions contrary to the agreement, unless expressly accepted by La Soufflerie, regardless of when they were brought to the latter’s attention, do not apply.

ARTICLE 2 – General Product Information

The La Soufflerie website provides a description of the products for sale, allowing the potential buyer to understand the main characteristics of any given product before making a final sale, in accordance with Article L.111-1 of the French Consumer Code.

The La Soufflerie liability will not be invoked in the event of an error in the text description. It should also be noted the photographs are not of a contractual nature.

ARTICLE 3 – Order Process / Acceptance of the Offer

3.1 Before placing an order, it is your responsibility to review the general terms of sale, as presented on the La Soufflerie website.

3.2 After putting the desired objects in your shopping basket, you will be directed to an online order form, including a request for necessary contact information, namely: first and last name, mailing address, delivery address, email address, etc. Please note the delivery address given on the order form will be used to ship the order. 

3.3 The sale will be considered final only after you have confirmed and paid for the order.

3.4 The automatic recording systems are considered as proof of the nature, content, and date of the order.

La Soufflerie reserves the right to cancel any order made by a CLIENT with whom there is a payment dispute from a previous order.

The buyer is bound by the data provided when the order was placed.

3.5  La Soufflerie is a registered brand. All of our pieces are to be sold under our brand name thus no modifications of our products or productions of our candles in our glass products can be made other than by us. Any modification of our products and selling our products in such a way constitutes a misrepresentation of our brand.

ARTICLE 4 – Prices

4.1 The selling price of the articles chosen by you are listed on the La Soufflerie website.

Prices are in Euros and include tax. They do not include shipping charges.

The price indicated at the time of the confirmed order is the final price.

The selling price of the articles on the La Soufflerie website is subject to change at any time, for any reason.

4.2 Shipping charges are indicated on the order form.

4.3 The corresponding invoice is available online, on the Customer page of the website. Upon request, a paper copy of the invoice will be sent to you.

ARTICLE 5 – Payment Procedure

5.1 Payment transactions are carried out online by PayPal and Stripe.

5.2 The account information should be entered onto the La Soufflerie website, which acts as an interface with the bank that securely encrypts the banking data.

Your card will not be debited until the order has been confirmed.

5.3 Your confirmed order will be considered valid only after the bank payment center has issued its approval. In the case of a bank’s refusal, the order will be automatically cancelled, and you will be informed by email.

ARTICLE 6 – Delivery

6.1 Products advertised on the La Soufflerie website are available while stock lasts.

6.2 All orders are systematically confirmed by email, and shipping details are provided.

Estimated shipping times are not guaranteed unless indicated as such on the La Soufflerie website and can vary according to destination. La Soufflerie is not responsible in case of late delivery. This includes gift cards.

However, if 30 days after the delivery time indicated the product has not been delivered, for any other reason than force majeure, the sale may be cancelled, and the Buyer may obtain a full refund, excluding all other indemnities or damages.

6.3 La Soufflerie is not responsible for any change or error in shipping time or product availability. However, you are welcome to cancel your order as long as it has not already been prepared.

6.4 The transfer of risks for ordered products is in effect once the product has been delivered. Therefore, the products are shipped at La Soufflerie’s risk. You cannot be held responsible for any incident endured by the product during the shipping.

ARTICLE 7 – Return Policy, Cancellations, Exchanges and Refund

7.1 You have a retraction period of 14 working days upon reception of your order to ship an item/s back to La Soufflerie and request a refund (on the condition the item/s returns intact).

7.2 You must inform La Soufflerie by email about returning the item/s purchased. La Soufflerie can refuse the parcel if not informed in advance.

7.3 Before proceeding with a return, we invite you to check that you meet the following conditions:
– You have received the order less than 14 days ago.
– The product is still in its original condition and packaging.

The product/s must be returned in perfect condition, with all original packaging, accessories, instructions, and paperwork to:

7.4 In case of a return, La Soufflerie will reimburse you. The return shipping fee, however, is at your charge as well as any additional costs for customs fees and customs duties.

7.5 If you notice that one of the products has a defect or that it arrived broken, we invite you to contact our customer service directly, which will be available to assist you. La Soufflerie will reimburse you. 

7.6 Refund: Refunds are made within 14 days maximum after receiving your package. Once the refund has been made, you will receive a confirmation by email. You will be able to view your refund directly in your bank account, PayPal account or any other payment account used during the order, within a few days depending on the banking organization.

7.7 Exchanges: It is not possible for us to exchange products on our website. In this case, you will have to follow our return procedure and then place a new order.

7.8 Cancellations: If you wish to cancel an order after confirming its payment, we invite you to contact us to assist you in this process. Please note, however, that the cancellation of an order is no longer possible after it has been dispatched.

ARTICLE 8 – Personal Information

8.1 Your personal information will remain confidential and only be used within the framework of the order and subsequent follow-up.

8.2 According to the Law n° 78-17 of January 6, 1978, concerning data processing, data files and individual liberties, modified by the Law of August 6, 2004, you have the right to access, modify, correct and suppress your personal information.

8.3 La Soufflerie uses “cookies” to accelerate access to the website (by bypassing verification of the company’s client database).

8.4 A “cookie” is a small computer application sent by La Soufflerie to your computer, that doesn’t allow you to be identified.

8.5 The “cookie” only records information concerning your visits to the La Soufflerie website (which pages were visited, and when), information that can be read upon future visits to the La Soufflerie website.

8.6 In this case, it contains the information submitted by you on the La Soufflerie online order form. This way, you won’t have to fill out the form again on your next visit to the website. The information is then conserved in the La Soufflerie database.

8.7 You can deactivate “cookies” or remove them from your computer, by configuring your navigator. This may result in slower or incomplete access to the La Soufflerie website.

ARTICLE 9 – Intellectual Property

All the designs and products presented on the La Soufflerie website, as well as any text, comments, works, illustrations, and images figured on the La Soufflerie website, are protected by current regulatory laws concerning copyright, design, models, and patents worldwide.

This information, therefore, cannot be modified, copied, sent, forwarded, or distributed in any format, be it content from the pages of the La Soufflerie website, including the configuration files, unless expressly authorized by La Soufflerie.

Any unauthorized use of the La Soufflerie website and/or its content will be considered a forgery and punishable by the legal provisions of the French Intellectual Property Code.

La Soufflerie can provide you with some high-resolution images for use on your website and social media channels. Credit must be visible and given to La Soufflerie and Anjeanette Massey (depending on the image). You will be notified accordingly.

ARTICLE 10 – Responsibility

10.1 La Soufflerie is not responsible for cancelled or incorrect orders due to force majeure or external causes.

10.2 The designs and products available on the website La Soufflerie are in compliance with current French legislation.

La Soufflerie cannot be held responsible for the non-respect of legislation in the case of delivery outside France.

10.3 The buyer is solely responsible for the choice and purchase of any given product.

La Soufflerie is not responsible for the impossibility to use the purchased product for whatever reason and is without prejudice to Articles 7 and 10.5 herewith.

10.4 La Soufflerie cannot be held responsible for: the malfunction of the La Soufflerie website and/or the applications used on or obtained from the La Soufflerie website; the loss of data or services resulting in a delay, failure to provide totally or partially, disruptions in service and any imprecision, quality or nature of information obtained by its services, consequences arising from that, or any damage resulting from a virus transmitted by a server; fees, loss of profit, or indirect loss brought on the use of the La Soufflerie website by a CLIENT, or the impossibility for a CLIENT to access the website.

10.5 The CLIENT may benefit from the legal warranty of conformity and the warranty for hidden faults for products L211-1 à L211-12 of the French Consumer Code and 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code.

10.6 The paid invoice must be presented in order to take advantage of either of these guarantees.

ARTICLE 11 – Hyperlink Text

11.1 The La Soufflerie website may be linked to or from other sites, managed by third-party partners, within the framework of affiliate programs.

11.2 In no way does La Soufflerie control the information, products or services offered via these other sites.

11.3 La Soufflerie is not responsible for the offers made by the aforementioned third-party partners and does not participate in any offers, transactions, sales, deliveries or payment of goods and services.

11.4 The clauses, general terms, and guarantees related to these offers must be renowned to be agreed upon by the CLIENT and the third party.

11.5 La Soufflerie has no responsibility or obligation concerning all or part of any such offer, transaction, sale, correspondence, or participation.

ARTICLE 12 – Applicable Law and Dispute Settlement

The present contract is subject to French law.

Secured Payment

Payment is made in euros on the La Soufflerie website.

All data of your order and your payment is sent encrypted by SSL, from your computer to the electronic payment terminal of our banking partner, Ogone. Therefore, you can pay online safely, no data is stored.

In order to combat online fraud, La Soufflerie has chosen to use the 3D Secure system implemented by financial institutions since 1 January 2009.

The 3D Secure standard has a policy of requesting additional information, known to the bank and the holder of the bank card during a transaction. It helps strengthen the authentication of its customers during online payments. This authentication ensures that the bank card is indeed being used by its rightful owner.

This authentication is mandatory and any refusal or error in entry of the personal information will result in the cancellation of the transaction.
You can pay for your purchases using two means of payment. By bank card or PayPal.
The bank cards accepted by the website www.lasoufflerie.com are VISA, MASTERCARD, MAESTRO, AMERICAN EXPRESS, and CB.
If you want to pay for your purchase via PayPal, simply choose this payment method in the purchase funnel, a link will redirect you to the PayPal payment platform where you simply log into your account or create one, to access the payment process.

Candle care

Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to about 1/2-cm in length. This allows the candle to burn more slowly and also avoid unsightly black smoke marks around the edge of the glass.

Every time you burn your La Soufflerie candle, allow it to burn at least until the whole top of the candle is liquid. This will help your candle burn more evenly for each burning session.

After blowing out your candle, re-center and straighten the wick.
When using your candlestick holder, do not let the flame touch the glass. Blow the candle out once it gets close to the candle stick holder. Do not place your candle on a cool surface like marble. If the bottom of the hot candle comes in contact with a cold material, the glass may crack.

Do not burn your candle all the way down. Leave at least 1/2-cm of wax in the container to avoid cracking the bottom.Once you have finished burning your candle, hand wash with warm water and soap until the dried wax melts away. You now have a new La Soufflerie piece to use!

Cleaning care

All plaster and terracotta pieces are not suitable for use with water. You can dust each piece with a dry cloth.

General information

These are entirely made by hand and each creation is unique. Therefore, there may be a slight variation in color, texture, and size between each piece. On the base of each item, you can feel the pontil mark left by the glassblower’s cane. The presence of this mark indicates that the glass was blown freehand. This is the beauty of handmade.

Cleaning care

We do recommend handwashing as much as possible to avoid scratches from the dishwasher and to keep the glass sparkling. But, know that our glassware is dishwasher resistant and can be cleaned in the dishwasher

Colored glass

Pigmented glass is mixed into the furnace during the glassblowing. This means that the glass itself is colored instead of painted. Our glass is durable and no changes or fading occur with continued use over time.

Delivery information

Your order will be processed between 7 and 10 business days. 

Each piece is hand washed and individually, wrapped and packed with recycled materials by our team. 

Your package will include one small, La Soufflerie, cotton gift bag.

Certain items may take longer to be delivered. Please allow 2 to 3 extra weeks for delivery for Plaster products, Lamps, Candles, and Wood, these products are made to order.

If your order is placed during the weekend or on a holiday, we will begin processing it the following business day.

The Nature of Handmade

Due to the hand made nature of our products each piece may differ in size, shape and color.

If you would like to complete an already existing set of glassware, please make sure you send us a picture of the glasses so that we can match the set as close as possible to the ones you have.
