I’ve never understood the trope of young girls dreaming about their wedding day. White lace, charming princes on horseback – this kind of abstract romance and glamour hold little appeal.

I’d rather focus on the NOW: the alien beauty of molten glass twisting into a tiny handled-bottle creation before your eyes, a cold and weighty glass of water at scorching midday in Paris, the dusty weight of a terracotta skull vase in the palm of your hand and my friend’s surprised gape, “You can put flowers in that??”.

That’s why La Soufflerie is so proud to be working with Bellaches in Ridgeland, MS. As well experts in the art of giving, their enthusiasm for the ethical, handmade designs loading their shelves is contagious.
